The Untold Story of ‘Legends Of The Hidden Temple’ Will Leave You Speechless

Legends of the Hidden Temple was one of the greatest games in the country, if not the world. But between Olmec’s hard partying and Kirk Fogg feeling left out — and Rugrats — something changed. Charlie Berens and Andy Berens bring you the next installment of 30 For 30.

FIELD NOTES FROM THE FUNNY OR DIE STAFF

Frankly, it’s thrilling to see ESPN do a deep dive into the shrouded, mysterious world of Legends of the Hidden Temple and finally add this demanding test of athletic skill to the rest of its roster of groundbreaking, award-winning documentary films. Legends of the Hidden Temple was, without a doubt, one of the — if not THE — greatest hybrid sport/trivia gameshows that ever aired.

But none of that changes the dark history of the people behind the scenes that this documentary reveals. Ah, yes, they were bright times, and yet its fire burned too hot for some. Which is a damn shame, because I firmly believe that, if given another shot, or rebooted on Huflix or Netlu, LOTHT could regain its former glory, and I could finally find someone to purchase my lightly used Legends of the Hidden Temple board game.

This mysterious treasure comes to you via Charlie Berens.
