A lot of comedians showed up for this doozy of a holiday diddy
And they did not disappoint. This is a Christmas song we can get behind.
Because on the one hand Christmas songs are beautiful and wonderful, and they make us pause and think and appreciate the beauty of life and togetherness and all that crap, but on the other hand they are a bald-faced lie peddling a myth of a bygone era in the service of coporations’ exploitation of humankind to make rich companies richer. WHICH IS KIND OF AGAINST THE WHOLE SPIRIT OF THE HOLIDAYS ANYWAY.
And this song gets that. And while getting that, this song also gives a great opportunity to actually do some good this holiday.
Comedy Gives Back, an organization that provides a safety net for stand-up comedians —whether it’s emergency financial relief grants, access to mental health services or substance abuse treatment — brings you this joyous ode, “Christmas Magic.”
