Get Paid $1,000 To Binge Every ‘Star Wars’ Movie. Hey Man, Desperate Times

T’is the season to be jolly, and by that I mean t’is the season to grow a little more filled with anxiety and dread over the amount of money you’re probably going to spend this month with each passing day like some sort of sadistic Advent calendar! SO JOLLY, JUST SO, SO JOLLY. If you’re in need of a little extra cash (or like, a lot of extra cash) this December, there might just be a solution. You just have to be willing to sacrifice 24 hours, and possibly a bit of your sanity — but who needs that, right? And if you’re a fan of Star Wars that would definitely help, too.

CableTV.com is looking to pay one lucky (and brave, honestly) individual $1,000 to binge-watch every single Star Wars movie and livetweet the whole thing.

There are a lot of pros and cons here, so let’s unpack it.

Pro: It’s $1,000
Con: That’s literally 23 hours of non-stop movie watching, which will for sure be grueling
Pro: It’s $1,000
Con: Not only do you have to watch every movie but you have to actually be ENGAGED because you’ll have to be constantly tweeting updates as you watch
Con: It’s one-THOUSAND dollars
Pro: There’s no telling what kind of toll a full day of a single movie franchise takes on a person’s mind, like you will for sure be dreaming about Jedis and thinking in Yoda-speak for a while
Con: It’s LITERALLY $1,000

The choice is up to you, and there’s no way to be sure if you’re actually going to win or not since it is a contest. You can apply here as long as you’re 18, you have until December 11, and all they ask is a 200-word write up. You can also submit a video if you think it’ll help your case, maybe just sob “please….
