Jay and Silent Bob Dance Dance Dance To ‘Loser’ Anthem by Moby Rich

Jay and Silent Bob are back at it — this time with Moby Rich

“Have you ever had your asshole licked by a formerly fat man in an overcoat” is perhaps the greatest question to sling at people exiting a liquor store that you can find anywhere.

That’s how this new video for Moby Rich’s single “Loser” opens. Featured in the Jay and Silent Bob Reboot movie & soundtrack, the tune is the kind of clappy, hooky confection at which we challenge your face and earholes not to smile or at the very least get your feet tip tapping.

If you need a dance, Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes have you covered. The two reprise their characters of Jay and Silent Bob, delivering a body-in-motion poetry that feels very doable for your average losers like us here at Funny Or Die. And Kevin Smith agrees:

Moby Rich is made up of Maxwell Joseph and Connor Pledger who relocated to LA in 2015 from Indianapolis and Atlanta. They pair is pumped for the new video, saying, they “got to work with two of our heroes. Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes [who] are some of the nicest and generous dudes that we’ve had the pleasure of working with. We grew up watching Clerks, Dogma, Mall Rats and all of their other wonderful creations.”

The origin story of Moby Rich contains this hilarious anecdote

Before Connor and Maxwell linked up, Connor was a newly transplanted LA resident from back east. He initially moved out to LA after a music exec invited him to Hollywood to “join a ‘folk boyband’ he was putting together.”

A folk boyband. A FOLK BOYBAND.

We almost wished this had happened but are very very very glad it didn’t, in order to gift us with our new theme song.
