When Coffee Shops Jump On The Juice Cleanse Craze
They are popping up everywhere. Inside every coffee shop. JUICES.
Coffee shops should remain free of the tyrannical pull of the JUICE CLEANSE. Save that for your Instagram timeline or your hometown friend’s new multilevel marketing scheme. We go to coffee shops to get amped on caffeine and hopefully good music and a public workspace that makes us focus. We do not go to coffee shops to to get “alkalized.” Nor do we go to coffee shops for an “echinacea/goldenseal infusion.” There’s something so self-serving about the juice cleanse craze. “Oh really, you think I should do this for 15 days in a row? How convenient.”
But, you gotta admit, juice cleanses make big piles of that warm soft cash. So when coffee shop manager Beachum pitches the gang on getting into the juice cleanse craze, Black takes him up on it. With disastrous results.
