IKEA Just Roasted Apple’s New Mac Pro Design With A Cheese Grater Ad

When it comes to the latest and greatest smart technology, we all generally look to Apple. Whether it’s their newest phone, iOS, computer, or tablet, you can guarantee that the unveilings at Apple’s conferences will illicit some “oohs” and “ahs”. The general reaction to the announcement made at their last conference, however, was more towards the “what the fuck?” end of things.

The new Mac Pro was met with raised eyebrows for a number of reasons, like the fact that the whole thing costs $6,000 and the stand for the screen alone clocks in at $1,000. Oh, and the fact that it looks like… well… a giant cheese grater.

As you can see (and probably saw all over the internet before this) everyone was quick to mock the new Mac Pro design, and as funny as it is when individuals make fun of things like this, it’s even better when other big corporations hop on board the meme train.

IKEA Bulgaria and an ad agency called The Smarts decided to unveil one of IKEA’s newest products in a way that feels very familiar — and very tongue-in-cheek.

So it probably doesn’t make for the best computer, but with iDEALISK (get it) you can get the same, cutting-edge look of a new Mac Pro (if you’re into the cheese grater aesthetic) except you don’t even have to fork over more than $3.00 for it!
